There are numerous reasons why people love Naruto, but among them are its distinct clans and factions. There are devoted fan communities and supporters for groups like The Akatsuki, The Hyuga Clan, and others. With the ability to see chakra, duplicate other jutsus, and cast genjutsus, the Uchiha Clan is the most well-known clan.
Madara Uchiha was once thought to be the strongest member of the Uchiha Clan, but Naruto Shippuden altered that perception. Sasuke even outperformed Madara in his demonstration of strength as a Uchiha. Even at a very young age, Sasuke showed signs of being able to surpass Madara before going on to become one of the two strongest ninja in the entire world. He was significantly superior than his predecessors by Boruto and was not likely to be surpassed in the near future.
10 Sasuke vs. Deidara

The first Akatsuki member Sasuke Uchiha defeated was Deidara. Their battle started when Deidara flew in on a massive white clay bird and surprised Sasuke with an explosion. However, Sasuke quickly summoned a large snake to protect himself from the blast. Sasuke then demanded to know where Itachi was. Tobi made a snarky comment about Sasuke only defeating Orochimaru because he was an Uchiha. In response, Sasuke attacked Tobi with lightning speed using his teleportation jutsu. However, since Tobi could manipulate how his body is attacked, Sasuke’s sword passed through him like a ghost.
Deidara then created small clay bombs and threw them at Sasuke, but Sasuke destroyed them with his Chidori. Sasuke tried to attack Deidara from above, but Deidara dodged by using a clay bomb to escape. Deidara then released clay from his hands and formed two large clay clones to fight for him. Sasuke fought back with punches and kicks, but the clones kept regenerating since they were made of clay. Even when Sasuke sliced through them with his sword, more clones kept forming.
As Sasuke attempted to retreat, Deidara sent the clay clones after him, and one managed to catch Sasuke by the foot. Deidara seized this moment and tried to explode all the clones to kill Sasuke, but Sasuke avoided the attack using Substitution Jutsu. Deidara then summoned a giant clay bird that spit out tiny clay bombs. In response, Sasuke transformed into his Curse Mark Two form, gaining wings to help him dodge the attacks. As the battle raged on, Sasuke managed to catch Deidara off guard by pinning him to the bird with a shuriken and stabbing his blade through the bird.
Realizing he was in danger, Deidara decided to use a powerful jutsu he had saved for Itachi. He swallowed a large amount of clay and spat it back out at Sasuke, creating a huge clay version of himself, which exploded. But Deidara didn’t realize that Sasuke had used Genjutsu to make him believe he had won. With Deidara now low on chakra, Sasuke surprised him by stabbing him through the heart with his Chidori, still in his Curse Mark Two form. However, this turned out to be a clay clone, and the real Deidara emerged from beneath the bird and grabbed Sasuke’s foot. He tried to blow Sasuke up, but Sasuke escaped using his Lightning Blade.
Throughout the battle, Sasuke had noticed that Deidara was using Earth Style, which is weak against Sasuke’s Lightning Style Chidori. With his options running out, Deidara, in desperation, had a clay mouth on his chest eat more clay and prepared to detonate himself. In the end, Deidara sacrificed himself, leaving Sasuke as the victor of the intense battle.
9 Sasuke vs. Gaara
Before Sasuke Uchiha arrived, Gaara of the Sand was undefeated. During the Chunin Exams, the two were paired for the final round. The battle started with Sasuke throwing shuriken at Gaara, but Gaara easily blocked them with his sand. Sasuke, however, had a plan. He quickly closed in, using Gaara’s sand defense as a distraction, and with lightning-fast speed, he dashed to the other side of Gaara and landed a powerful punch to his face. The impact cracked Gaara’s sand armor and sent him flying.
Sasuke kept the pressure on, repeatedly attacking from up close, hoping to break through Gaara’s defense. In the chaos, Sasuke managed to grab Gaara and land several blows. Gaara, now out of breath, realized he was running low on chakra. Earlier, Sasuke had trained with Kakashi Hatake, who taught him how to copy Rock Lee’s taijutsu using his Sharingan.

Gaara then surrounded himself in a protective ball of sand. Sasuke rushed in for a punch but was blocked by the sand wall. After thinking it through, Sasuke realized he needed speed and momentum to break through Gaara’s defense. He ran down the arena wall, activated his Chidori, and punched through the sand, hitting Gaara’s shoulder. This shocked Gaara, as it was the first time he had ever bled.
Freaking out, Gaara began to lose control and his jinchuriki, Shukaku, started to take over, lashing out at Sasuke. Gaara, now partially transformed, went on a rampage trying to hit Sasuke, but Sasuke dodged using Substitution Jutsu and kunai. Even when Sasuke cut Gaara with his Chidori and used Fireball Jutsu, it had no real effect on Gaara’s sand defense.
8 Curse Mark Awakens
Orochimaru sneaked into the Forest of Death during the second part of the Chunin Exams and gave Sasuke Uchiha the Curse Mark. In order for Sasuke to be Orochimaru’s next vessel, he hoped that the Curse Mark would cause mental instability. Using Kakashi Hatake’s Evil Sealing Method was the best course of action, but it was only effective if the victim genuinely wanted to break the curse.
Regretfully, rather than casting off his curse, Sasuke decided to enhance it alongside Orochimaru. Sasuke’s complexion turns gray, his hair turns purple, a black mark emerges on his nose, and he wears purple lipstick when the second level of the Curse Mark activates. He can fly in this form since he has web-like wings. During Curse Mark Two, he can substitute snakes for any lost bodily parts. Because Sasuke gained power that earlier Madara did not, the Curse Mark played a crucial role in his future development.
7 Young Sasuke vs. Young Naruto at the Valley of the End

Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha have been rivals throughout the entire series, and their big fight happens when Sasuke decides to leave the Leaf Village to train with Orochimaru in order to become stronger. Naruto, however, is determined to stop him and bring him back. Naruto is furious that Sasuke could even think about betraying the Leaf Village so easily.
The battle kicks off with a physical fight. Sasuke punches Naruto over the edge of the waterfall, but no matter how many times Sasuke knocks him down, Naruto keeps getting back up. Sasuke uses Fire Style jutsu, but Naruto breaks through it and lands a punch on Sasuke’s face. Naruto then uses his Shadow Clone jutsu, but with Sasuke’s Sharingan and speed, he quickly figures out which one is the real Naruto. In a heartfelt moment, Sasuke admits that Naruto has become his closest friend. With their emotions running high, Naruto forms a Rasengan, and Sasuke forms a Chidori, both charging at each other.
The clash creates a massive explosion, throwing them into the water. Sasuke then activates his Curse Mark, using Fire Style jutsu to distract Naruto. While Naruto is caught off guard, Sasuke sneaks up behind him and stabs him in the shoulder with his Chidori. However, this triggers Kurama’s power inside Naruto, healing his shoulder instantly. Empowered by Kurama, Naruto fights back with a series of heavy blows.
At this point, they’re down to hand-to-hand combat. For one final attack, Sasuke enters his Curse Mark Two form, and Naruto taps into more of Kurama’s chakra. They clash with Sasuke’s Chidori and Naruto’s Rasengan, causing another huge explosion that leaves both of them barely able to move. In the end, Sasuke stands over an unconscious Naruto, making him the victor. He leaves behind his Leaf Village headband, now with a line scratched through the Leaf symbol, as a sign that he’s leaving the village for good. This fight showed just how strong Sasuke had become, even stronger than Madara at the same age.
6 Sasuke vs. Danzo

Danzo is easily one of the most disliked antagonists in the Naruto universe, mainly because of the terrible things he did to the members of the Leaf Village, even if he believed he was acting in the village’s best interest. One of his most notorious acts was telling Itachi Uchiha that a civil war was looming between the Uchiha clan and the Leaf Village. He convinced Itachi to slaughter his own clan, promising to protect Sasuke in return.
When Sasuke finally got his revenge and crushed Danzo with his Susanoo, it was an incredibly satisfying moment for Naruto fans. This scene not only highlighted Sasuke’s progress but also showed just how terrifying he could be when it came to protecting his family and clan. Plus, Sasuke’s Susanoo was incredibly well-developed for his age, reflecting his deep hatred and fierce determination.

At first, viewers thought Sasuke had killed Danzo by crushing him with his Susanoo, but Danzo managed to escape, leading to an intense battle between the two. Sasuke dodged Danzo’s Wind Style attacks by summoning a hawk and then placed Danzo under a Genjutsu, allowing him to sneak up behind him with his blade.
Danzo had collected Sharingan eyes from the Uchiha Clan and implanted them in his right arm, which essentially gave him extra lives in battle. Sasuke figured out that once all the Sharingan eyes closed, Danzo would be out of options. Sasuke exhausted Danzo with relentless attacks, and in the end, he delivered the final blow, piercing Danzo with his Lightning Style Blade and securing his victory.
5 Sasuke vs. Itachi
When Sasuke Uchiha was a child, he witnessed his older brother, Itachi Uchiha, tragically wipe out their entire clan and then leave him behind. This traumatic event fueled Sasuke’s deep grudge against Itachi and his intense desire to become strong enough to avenge his family.
The battle between Sasuke and Itachi had been building up since the start of Naruto. It was driven by Sasuke’s raw anger and sorrow over the massacre. Despite Itachi being sick, the fight was incredibly challenging for Sasuke. It was a fierce clash, powered by Sasuke’s hatred and determination.

Sasuke managed to break through Itachi’s Tsukuyomi using his Curse Mark Two, and their battle moved outdoors. They exchanged powerful Fire Style Fireball Jutsus, each trying to outmatch the other.
Sasuke then used Kirin jutsu against Itachi, but Itachi survived. In response, Itachi summoned his Susanoo, and Sasuke countered with Orochimaru’s chakra. Itachi also removed Sasuke’s cursed seal and Orochimaru, who had been absorbed into Sasuke’s body. Despite Itachi’s efforts, he began coughing up blood and ultimately performed his famous forehead poke on Sasuke before collapsing and dying.
Throughout their intense fight, Sasuke awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan. This legendary power, first obtained by Madara, has the potential to blind its user over time. Itachi also revealed that Madara was still alive, and Sasuke finally learned the truth about his clan’s massacre. By the end of the battle, Sasuke’s feelings for his brother shifted from pure hatred to a deep, understanding love.
4 Sasuke Goes With A Goal The Five Kage Summit

At the Five Kage Summit, Sasuke makes a spectacular entrance by hanging from the roof of the space. After learning that Danzo was expected at the Five Kage Summit, Sasuke headed there with the intention of killing Danzo. Zetsu, on the other hand, betrayed Sasuke’s approach as a traitor. Zetsu desired that Sasuke hone his Mangekyo Sharingan in order to make the Five Kage weaker.
Sasuke had to battle the Kage because he was already at the Summit, but Tobi’s intervention let him to escape unharmed. Gaara attempted to persuade Sasuke to stray from the path of darkness, but Sasuke naturally refused and used his Susanoo to defend himself against Kankuro, Temari, and Darui. They were wrong, but Danzo was certain that Madara Uchiha was the Akatsuki’s leader.
3 Sasuke and Naruto vs. Momoshiki

Together, Naruto and Sasuke take down Momoshiki, one of the Otsutsuki members, in Boruto. In order to divert Momoshiki’s attention during the battle, Sasuke throws his blade at him and then moves to get closer to him. After Momoshiki catches the sword, Sasuke exchanges it for a Chidori.
In essence, Momoshiki hits himself, and Sasuke stabs the Rinnegan in Momoshiki’s hand with his sword to prevent him from using it to absorb jutsu. Sasuke’s usage of Planetary Devastation, which is akin to Pain’s strike in Naruto Shippuden, to crush Momoshiki in a ball of rocks is one of the battle’s most memorable moments. Though other instances show it happening in real time, Naruto and Sasuke had already surpassed all ninja in history at this point.
2 Team 7 vs. Kaguya Otsutsuki

The moment when every member of Team Seven is forced to face off against Kaguya Otsutsuki is the high point of Naruto Shippuden. Throughout the entire event, she and Black Zetsu have been manipulating their puppets, Madara and Obito Uchiha, from behind the scenes. The most formidable foe in the entirety of Naruto Shippuden is Kaguya Otsutsuki. Her ability to transfer herself and Team Seven through multiple dimensions—including one that was filled with lava—serves as evidence of this.
To defeat Kaguya Otsutsuki, Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, Kakashi Hatake, and Obito Uchiha were required. Sasuke and Naruto were the two that inflicted the most damage. This fight demonstrated how Sasuke overcame Madara following his victories over Black Zetsu and Kaguya, which came just after Zetsu had killed Madara by stabbing him in the back.
1 Older Sasuke vs. Older Naruto In Their Final Battle At The Valley Of The End

Since the first episode of Naruto’s first segment, Sasuke and Naruto have been rivals. Ever since their first combat at the Valley of the End, people have been eager to witness this one. Sasuke had won the first part of Naruto, but things were different this time. Over time, both Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki underwent personal growth and development, completing their own character arcs. Sasuke made the decision that he wanted to become Hokage and permanently purge evil from the world. Because he didn’t want Sasuke to have to bear all the agony and suffering on his alone, Naruto disagreed with his proposal.
They start off sparring with taijutsu, and before long, Sasuke is using fireballs while Naruto is using rasengans. Using his Rinnegan, Sasuke draws Naruto and his shadow clones to him, igniting them with black flames. Then, he uses Chidori to strike Naruto after teleporting behind him. Sasuke launches Susanoo arrows at Naruto as he transforms into Six Paths Sage Mode. After a stalemate in the fight, Naruto and Sasuke both fell to a rock without an arm. Ultimately, this represents how Sasuke and Naruto have evolved into equals and are now both at the top of the ninja hierarchy, much as Hashirama and Madara did a long time ago.
