Ever since he teamed up with Roronoa Zoro to become the Straw Hat Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy and his gang have become one of the most significant factions in One Piece history. Although Chopper is devoted, he is momentarily kicked out of the Straw Hat Pirates due to uncontrollable events. Pirate commanders can take members of enemy crews by using Davy Back Fights, and when the Foxy Pirates take on the main characters of One Piece, they manage to take Chopper for a number of episodes. Fortunately, the dimwitted opponents are defeated by the Straw Hat Pirates, sparing fans from more of the group’s annoying actions.

Usopp Quits After Challenging Luffy During The Water 7 Arc

Usopp joined the Straw Hat Pirates following their fight with Kuro in the Syrup Village Arc, making him one of the original members of Monkey D. Luffy’s crew. At the conclusion of the Alabasta Kingdom Arc, Nico Robin enlists with the Straw Hat Pirates and, for the first time since her native Ohara was devastated by a Buster Call, finds a permanent home. After being shunned and pursued for a reward, the Straw Hats turn into the family she never truly had. The archaeologist with the Devil Fruit continues with the group until Water 7, when she makes what can be regarded as the ultimate sacrifice for One Piece. She gives everything up as soon as she learns that among the Straw Hat Pirates in an attempt to keep them from seeing her as associated with the World Government. The Straw Hat Pirates have solidified their status as lifelong allies at the time of One Piece’s timeskip. Among them is Sanji, the cook for the group who first accompanied Monkey D. Luffy in the East Blue Saga. But even Sanji, a veteran of the Straw Hat Pirates, has his share of difficulties. Upon learning that he has been engaged to one of Big Mom’s daughters by his estranged father, Vinsmoke Judge, Sanji leaves the Straw Hat Pirates and heads to Whole Cake Island.

Sanji leaves Monkey D. Luffy and his companions to reclaim his place as a prince of the Germa Kingdom due to threats against the lives of his mentor Zeff and the other Straw Hat Pirates. Luffy and the Sanji Retrieval Team head to Whole Cake Island with a number of crew members, even challenging Big Mom, an Emperor of the Sea, to help them get back. In the end, Big Mom also betrays the Vinsmoke Family, which permits Sanji to rejoin the Straw Hat Pirates at last.

Jinbe Leaves The Straw Hats But Promises To Return

When Luffy breaks into Impel Down, he first encounters Jinbe, with whom he immediately befriends the former Warlord of the Sea. Together, they break out of the prison and make their way to Marineford, where Jinbe eventually prevents one of Akainu’s magma fists from killing Luffy. Luffy is physically scarred by the attack, but it also highlights the greatness of Jinbe’s offering. Jinbei is invited to join the Straw Hat crew after the Fish-Man Island Arc, but he declines since he has unfinished business. Although Luffy acknowledges this, he says Jinbe would still be viewed as a Straw Hat.

As a mere Emperor facing the future King of the Pirates, Jinbe intends to formally submit his resignation to Big Mom. He tells her of his choice, and she tries to use the Soul-Soul Fruit to take his life but is unsuccessful. Jinbe again leaves the Straw Hats by the end of the Whole Cake Island Arc, saying he will re-join them on Wano Island. He encounters the Straw Hats right on Onigashima after leaving Totto Land with the old Sun Pirates. Since then, Jinbe has never left the crew.
