One of the strongest members of Monkey D. Luffy’s crew and the resident swordsman of One Piece’s Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro is second only to the captain. Zoro has wanted to be the world’s greatest swordsman since he was a young child. He has therefore made it his mission to vanquish the current holder of the title, Dracule Mihawk. When Zoro and Hawk Eye first faced one other, Zoro lost badly, but Mihawk was clearly pleased by his perseverance.
Roronoa Zoro is a skilled swordsman who has used a variety of blades in One Piece. While he has owned some of these firearms for years, others were just in his control for a few hours. While some of them are just regular swords, others are either cursed or have unique abilities. All things considered, the fighter in the Three-Sword-Style is incredibly deadly in any situation since he can modify his fighting style to fit the weapon he is holding or eating.
9 Wado Ichimonji Will Be With Zoro Until He Defeats Dracule Mihawk

Wado Ichjimonji was first given to Roronoa Zoro by Koshiro, who was also Kuina’s childhood pal and his first mentor. This sword was originally intended to be passed down to Kuina, but following her tragic death, the girl’s father gave the weapon to Zoro, who pledged to use it to become the world’s greatest swordsman in remembrance of Kuina. Zoro’s mentor, the renowned swordsmith Shimotsuki Kozaburo, was the one who initially fashioned it.
- Arc Introduced: Romance Dawn
- WAdo Ichimonhi is priced at 10,000,000 Beri.
This sword still belongs to Roronoa Zoro, and he probably will till the day he vanquishes Dracule Mihawk. Zoro gains a great deal of control over Wado Ichimonji’s keen strength during the time skip, but when he gets ready to take on his greatest foe, there’s no question that the master swordsman will uncover even more of its mysteries. Wado Ichimonji, one of the 21 Great Grade Meito, exudes extraordinary force and promise.
8 Zoro’s Dual Katanas Were Used Until His First Battle With Mihawk

Rooonoa Zoro was an early supporter of the Three-Sword Style, thus when he makes his One Piece debut, he is already proficient with three swords. Not all three of the swords, nevertheless, survive Zoro’s battles with formidable foes. Zoro’s other two original blades were broken during his combat with Dracule Mihawk, but he still carries Wado Ichimonji. Mihawk could tell before they even fought that Zoro was unprepared to take on the World’s Greatest Swordsman.
- Arc Introduced: Romance Dawn
- Although these blades were unnamed, he had built up a reputation as a fearsome bounty hunter through their use, indicating his strength.
How long Zoro wielded these two unidentified katanas is unknown. But ever since Shimotsuki Kozaburo gave him the swords when he was a young boy, he has had them. Still, it’s reasonable to infer that they weren’t of extremely poor quality, given Shimotsuki Kozaburo’s excellent eye for blades. However, these twin katana are not that significant in comparison to the other swords Zoro wields during One Piece.
7 Johnny And Yosaku’s Swords Were Temporary Substitutes

In order to repel the Arlong Pirates, Roronoa Zoro must act swiftly after losing his swords to Dracule Mihawk. Zoro takes Johnny and Yosaku’s blades on loan for the Arlong Park Arc battle between the Straw Hats and the Arlong Pirates. Often called the Nakiri swords, these are really somewhat longer versions of the real Nakiri knives that are used in Japan.
- Arc Introduced: Baratie (used by Johnny and Yosaku), Arlong Park (used by Zoro)
- Johnny and Yosaku used these blades to keep the Cocoyashi Village inhabitants from storming Arlong Park before Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp could arrive.
These two swords are undoubtedly better than Zoro’s prior, unidentified katanas, even though they are unranked and unnamed Meito. Zoro fights the octopus swordsman Hachi with the help of Johnny and Yosaku’s blades. The swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates battles his opponent with just one blade at a time until using borrowed weapons to win the conflict and then giving them back to their proper owners. Zoro’s use of Johnny and Yosaku’s swords is virtually insignificant in the grand scheme of One Piece since they are only utilized in a single battle.
6 Yubashiri Is One Of The 50 Skillful Grade Meito

Roronoa Zoro’s dual katanas are shattered by the undefeated opponent Dracule Mihawk, forcing the youthful swordsman to purchase two new blades in Loguetown. Ipponmastu, the proprietor of a nearby swordshop, bestows to him one of these blades, called Yubashiri, after being moved by his bravery. One of the 50 Meito of Skillful Grade is this weapon. Even with their great power, they are not as strong as Wado Ichimonji’s class counterparts.
- Arc Introduced: Loguetown
- When Zoro loses Yubashiri to Shu’s Devil Fruit ability, he continues wearing the sheath until he finds another blade because he doesn’t feel right without three swords.
Compared to some of Zoro’s other cursed swords, Yubashiri appears to be a very submissive weapon. Unfortunately, when the Straw Hats are fighting at Enies Lobby to liberate Nico Robin, Yubashiri is destroyed by Shu, a Captain of the Marines. Shu can “rust” any material by consuming the Sabi Sabi no Mi Devil Fruit; metal is especially vulnerable to his power. After the events of the Thriller Bark Arc, when he eventually replaces Yubashiri with a different blade, Zoro pays homage to the sword.
5 Sandai Kitetsu Is Descended From A Family Of Cursed Swords

Zoro also acquired the formidable Sandai Kitetsu sword at Loguetown. Still, Sandai Kitetsu is a lesser sword than Yubashiri. Therefore, this blade is more difficult to master than Yubashiri, at least in Zoro’s opinion. The Sandai Kitetsu is a cursed blade that comes from the family of Cursed Kitetsu swords, something that the general public is unaware of. Zoro hasn’t had any issues with the Sandai Kitetsu despite rumors that its curse will bring great woe to its wielders.
- Arc Introduced: Loguetown
- Zoro calls the Sandai Kitetsu a “problem child” due to its bloodlust.
Roronoa Zoro, however, did not take long to establish his dominance over it, showcasing his innate skill as a swordsman and winning the proprietor of the sword shop over in the process. Moreover, Zoro used Sandai Kitetsu in the Raid on Onigashima when he battled Big Mom and Kaido together. Even though he was ultimately defeated, it is extremely remarkable that he was able to thwart the two Emperors of the Sea’s combined attack, even if only momentarily.
4 Shusui Was Once Wielded By Ryuma, A Legendary Samurai

Shusui is a well-known katana that was formerly owned by the fabled warrior Shimotsuki Ryuma. It is one of the strongest swords in the whole One Piece series. The sword and Ryuma’s body were taken by Gecko Moria, a Warlord of the Sea, who utilized them to bolster his army when Ryuma died. In their duel, Ryuma’s zombie easily defeated Brook, even though Brook used nearly all of his energy.
- Arc Introduced: Thriller Bark
- Shisui is Wano’s National Treasure because of how revered Ryuma was.
After a battle with Roronoa Zoro, Ryuma’s undead body is moved by his bravery and gives him Shusui before passing away from Zoro’s wounds. Shusui’s real claim to fame, despite being one of the 21 Great Grade Meito, is that it is a Black Blade. After Zoro arrived in Wano, Shusui ultimately found its way to the grave of the original Ryuma. Zoro was offered Enma in exchange, which made this possible. Only the strongest swordsmen in One Piece are able to handle these enigmatic swords, a testament to Zoro’s formidable abilities.
3 Zoro Uses The Seppuku Blade To Kill A Villainous Magistrate

Soon after the Wano Country Arc begins, Roronoa Zoro gets into difficulty after being falsely accused of murder. Zoro is given a short sword without a tanto after being urged to do Seppuku, which is the equivalent of killing oneself. Zoro pretends to be doing Seppuku when he abruptly declares that he “smells blood.” The magistrate is instantly killed by a slash of black-purple energy that he then launches at him, setting off an attack on Zoro by the surrounding minions.
- Arc Introduced: Wano Country
- Historically, Seppuku was done to atone for shameful actions or to avoid falling into the enemy’s hands.
Afterwards, with a happy shamisen playing in the background, he utilizes this blade to quickly slay everyone who stands in his way. Even though this Seppuku sword was small and purposefully difficult to handle, Zoro had amazing mastery over it. Although Zoro used Armament Haki to give this sword some short-term success, the Seppuku blade is not actually designed for use in combat. Zoro hasn’t hurt himself with the cumbersome blade since as a result.
2 Zoro Takes Kamazo’s Scythe And Performs A Beautiful Onigiri

In the Wano Country Arc, Zoro is left one blade short as usual after Gyukimaru takes Shusui from him. The Manslayer Kamazo, later revealed to be Killer of the Kid Pirates, a formidable member of the Worst Generation, intercepts the Straw Hat Pirate as he attempts to retrieve his sword. With the ability to use both Armament and Conqueror’s Haki, Kamazo is no ordinary opponent, requiring Zoro to give it his best in return.
- Arc Introduced: Wano Country
- The Kamazo is not Killer’s preferred weapon either, as he favors gauntlets with spinning blades that he calls “Punishers.”
Gyukimaru momentarily diverted Zoro’s attention during his battle with Kamazo, allowing Killer to pierce Zoro’s body with one of his scythes. Zoro snatches the scythe, puts it in his mouth, and executes a purgatory Onigiri, slicing through his opponent in a scene that is incredibly realistic. But Zoro loses too much blood during the battle and collapses following his blow, so he can’t keep his homemade weapon.
1 Enma Forces Roronoa Zoro To Refine His Usage Of Haki

Enma, one of the 21 Great Grade Meito that Shimotsuki Kozaburo originally fashioned, was formerly owned by the fabled samurai Kozuki Oden. Kozuki Hiyori and Kozuki Momonosuke, his children, inherited his blades after his death. Enma, named after the Japanese god of the dead, was given to Kozuki Hiyori. Given Wano’s relationship to Ryouma’s sword, she eventually gave the sword to Roronoa Zoro as payment for him leaving Shisui in Wano Country.
- Arc Introduced: Wano Country
- The same person who made Wado, Shimotsuki Kozaburo, also made Enma.
Few sword masters possess the ability to wield the incredibly powerful enma. It has a propensity to drain the user of all Haki from their body, which can be fatal. As a result, it is extremely strong, but occasionally it strikes more harder than even Zoro wants because it uses the swordsman’s haki to strengthen its attack out of greed. The Blade makes the three-sword fighter considerably more careful with how he uses Haki so as not to overdo it. Zoro even starts to use his formidable Conqueror’s Haki in conjunction with Enma during his battle with the King of the Beast Pirates, to disastrous consequence.
